Mission & Responsibilities 

As Morpho’s Head of Finance you’ll Prepare Morpho for the next phase of growth and scaling and set up best-in-class Financial operations by:

• Supporting the business with financial forecasting

  • Own financial forecasting on budgeting & business plan

  • Support teams with their expenses monitoring and budgets, setting up dashboards and tools to assess the ROI and make data-driven decisions

• Accounting and taxes

  • Ensure we file our closings accurately and on time and work hand in hand with accountants to ensure the books reflect our activity accurately

  • Collaborate with the Legal team and tax lawyers to make informed, risk-weighted decisions on complex crypto-related issues

• Process improvement for the Finance team

  • Ensure the Finance team follows the best in class and leanest processes as the business grows and scales

  • Find simple yet effective ways to make the team ever more efficient with apps

• Treasury Management strategy and execution

  • Drive the treasury management strategy to ensure our exposure is on par with our risk profile across the various accounts and assets (fiat and crypto)

• Key stakeholder relationships

  • Own the relationship with the Accountant and Financial Auditor (Commissaires aux Comptes) to set up the relevant internal procedures

  • Be the main point of contact for all third parties with Finance-related requests

Must have Experience & Skills 

• 8+ years of experience including as Finance Manager / Head of Finance in a tech start-up

• Solid knowledge of accounting French norms and main tax rules (payroll, VAT, etc)

• Strong excel skills

• Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate across various stakeholders

• Business-oriented, view of Finance as a team-first function that supports the business

• Ability to get hands-on where needed, to get to the bottom of topics, and leave no reconciliation stone unturned

• French & English fluency

• Low Ego / Humility

  Good to Have:

  • Background as a certified accountant or tax auditor

  • Previous knowledge of crypto or a strong eagerness to learn
