Location
Paris or remote (from GMT -4 up to GMT +2 to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team) being open to periodical visits to our office.
Mission & Responsibilities
As a Protocol Researcher you will engage in all aspects of protocol development, from ideation to implementation and security. In particular, you will:
Contribute to research design ideas including lending mechanisms, liquidations, oracles, etc.
Develop prototypes or products, primarily in Solidity, with the ability to learn other languages as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, and leadership to inform architecture decisions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, ensuring that our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.
Job requirements
Must-have Experience & Skills
Master’s degree in quantitative fields (Math, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Economics) or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software architectural design and implementation of complex systems.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in blockchain R&D, with a strong track record in protocol design and implementation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Low ego.
Nice to Have
Experience writing smart-contracts securing significant TVL
A deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Solidity
PhD in quantitative fields (Math, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Economics)
Publication record in applied cryptography, security, cryptoeconomics, MEV, blockchain, distributed system, or related domains
